Coronavirus Update from CT Humanities
April 22, 2020 • Features & News

Connecticut Humanities believes that public health and safety are top priorities. With the growing prevalence of COVID-19, or Coronavirus, in Connecticut, we are monitoring both federal and state guidance on how to minimize exposure to and spread of the virus on a daily basis. The health and peace of mind of our staff, board, partners, grantees, and program participants will guide our decision-making in the coming weeks.

We will provide any program-specific updates here and on relevant pages in the coming days. We recommend that you periodically visit cthumanities.org for the latest updates.

For now, we ask our partners and grantees who host activities and events in their venues to monitor the situation in their own communities, follow Centers for Disease Control and Prevention and the State of Connecticut’s website for their recommendations, use their discretion in determining if events should be rescheduled or canceled, and keep Connecticut Humanities staff informed as they work towards decisions in the interest of keeping their communities safe. If you cancel or postpone an event you have listed on our website, please update it accordingly. For the foreseeable future, before attending any events listed on our website, we recommend you contact the host organization for a status update.

Changes to the June Quick Grants deadline are explained here and details about NEH CARES Act COVID-19 relief funding can be found here.

Please direct any programming questions or feedback to Connecticut Humanities staff; we’re here to help.
