HB 5504 – AN ACT CONCERNING FUNDING FOR THE AMERICA 250 SEMIQUINCENTENNIAL INITIATIVE: This bill temporarily increases the lodging/hotel and car rental taxes and directs those revenues to an America 250 | CT account that is in alignment with the budget CT Humanities has created with our arts and tourism partners and shared with legislators.
HB 5490 – AN ACT CONCERNING THE THRESHOLD FOR THE DUES TAX, THE SALES AND USE TAXES TREATMENT OF CERTAIN MOTOR VEHICLES AND THE DEDICATION OF A PORTION OF THE REVENUE GENERATED FROM MEALS SOLD BY AN EATING ESTABLISHMENT, CATERER OR GROCERY STORE: This bill seeks to commit a portion of the meals tax to the Tourism Fund and is in alignment with our goals for the Arts, Culture, and Tourism Roadmap.
