Robert Svensk Elected to Connecticut Humanities’ Board

Svensk, a business executive, entrepreneur, and experienced nonprofit board member, is one of three new members.

Connecticut Humanities, the state’s nonprofit affiliate of the National Endowment for the Humanities, has announced the election of Robert Svensk to the nonprofit organization’s Board of Directors. Svensk joins two other new board members, Katherine Donovan and Jason Kass, beginning terms in July 2017.

Mr. Svensk is a graduate of Wesleyan University and the Harvard Business School. He is an adjunct professor of International Business at Pace University and Sacred Heart University, Jack Welch School of Business. Svensk is also founder of Svensk & Company, Inc., an investment and advisory firm in the area of credit, political risk insurance, and trade finance. Robert brings Connecticut Humanities board leadership expertise from his service on nonprofit boards such as the CT Trust for Historic Preservation, the Southport Conservancy, and The Cheshire Academy.

Connecticut Humanities’ Board of Directors meets quarterly and is responsible for setting policies, reviewing budgets, assisting in fundraising, participating in committee work, and serving as an important link between Connecticut Humanities and the public.
