CT Cultural Fund Operating Support Grants were designed to help the states museums, cultural, humanities, and arts organizations maintain and grow their ability to serve their community and the public, connect K-12 teachers and students to strong humanities and arts content, and improve their information technology and digital infrastructure.
The Town of Newington, in partnership with the Newington Historical Society, is seeking to develop a comprehensive plan to transform the Newington Junction train station into a nexus for learning. The town will realize the existing potential of an extraordinary historical area and create a variety of educational, social, cultural, and recreational opportunities residents, plus residents in adjacent neighborhoods of Hartford, New Britain, West Hartford and the state as a whole.
Capital Classics’ 2022 Contemporary Classics Conversations provides the opportunity for insightful conversations among our community by using contemporary plays as a springboard for Conversations focused on critical contemporary issues. The 2022 season focuses on the theme of “Power and Poverty” utilizing the Pulitzer Prize-winning play, Sweat by Lynn Nottage as our inspiration. The play will be performed January 20-23, 2022 and will involve Conversation Events lead by various Guest Speakers.
