In honor of the National History Day contest kick-off, Connecticut Humanities would like to extend our congratulations to all the students who participated in the state and regional contests throughout Connecticut, as well as our gratitude to Connecticut History Day staff and volunteers who work to make this program such a success.
Connecticut History Day is a program for students in grades 6-12 that encourages exploration of local, state, national, and world history and Connecticut Humanities is proud to be a sponsor of such an incredible, hands-on way for students to learn about the important people, places, and events that have shaped the larger world, as well as their own communities, as a means of providing a critical first step toward developing a more informed and engaged citizenry.
