It’s here! It’s here! Well, almost. National History Day is just around the corner and that’s big news for those of us who are History Geeks. Honest.

Our best wishes go out all of the Connecticut state finalists who are going on to compete at the national level.

When: June 14-18, 2015

This is the culmination of a year of effort on the part of Rebecca Taber-Conover, Bruce Reinholdt and the team at the Old State House as well as all of the partner organizations:  Connecticut Historical Society, the Connecticut League of History Organizations, and ConnecticutHistory.org.

Major funding is provided by Connecticut Humanities….and here is a snapshot of some of the results…

Over 4,000 students participated in History Day
Over 2,100 were served through outreach programs
Over 350 volunteers served as Judges

76 students will be moving on to Nationals!

A list of all contestants and those who will go on to Finals are located here..
