CT Humanities champions the Open Culture movement which promotes the free and open sharing/access to Connecticut’s cultural and historical resources. We believe our state’s historical record and stories should be accessible and easy to use for everyone.
CTH has partnered with Creative Commons to advance open culture in the state by offering scholarships to the CC Cert course and providing timely webinars about open culture and intellectual property. CTH is also a foundational member of the TAROCH Coalition, a collaborative effort to achieve the adoption of a UNESCO standard-setting instrument to improve open access to cultural heritage
