Connecticut Humanities is pleased to announce the election of three new board members: Katherine Donovan of Bloomfield, Jason Kass of West Hartford, and Robert Svensk of Southport.
Kate Donovan is an Audit Supervisor for Whittlesey and Hadley, P.C. and has been an advisor to Connecticut Humanities’ Audit Committee since 2015. Jason Kass is a Senior Director of Enterprise Business Architecture at Travelers. Robert Svensk is founder of Svensk & Company, Inc., an investment and advisory firm.
These new board members join a board under new leadership as Lawrence DeNardis, a long-time board member of Connecticut Humanities, was elected as Board Chair in June. DeNardis, a member of the Connecticut State Board of Regents for Higher Education and former Congressman, was recently awarded an Honorary Fellowship of Liverpool John Moores University (LJMU) for creating transatlantic academic opportunities through a partnership between Southern CT State University and LJMU.
The Connecticut Humanities’ Board of Directors meets quarterly and is responsible for setting policies, reviewing budgets, assisting in fundraising, participating in committee work, and serving as an important link between Connecticut Humanities and the public.
