CT Humanities Announces Three New Board Members

Connecticut Humanities is pleased to announce the election of three new board members: Catherine Fields of Litchfield, Heidi Green of West Hartford, and Charles Monagan of Middlebury.

Catherine Fields has been director of the Litchfield Historical Society since 1987. Before coming to Litchfield, she was Director of the Passaic County Historical Society in Paterson, New Jersey for seven years. She holds a BA in American History from the College of William and Mary in Virginia, and a MA in Cultural History/Museum Administration from the University of Vermont.

Heidi Green is a longtime nonprofit professional. She joined Connecticut Fund for the Environment in 2014 as the Director of Individual Giving. She looks forward to sharing her development, communications, and lobbying experience to help Connecticut Humanities

Charles Monagan has been a writer and editor since 1972, when he graduated from Dartmouth College. Monagan’s most recent books are Carrie Welton (2016), a novel, which was a semifinalist for the international J.J. Bennetts Award for historical fiction, and Connecticut Icons (2017). The Connecticut Humanities’ Board of Directors meets quarterly and is responsible for setting policies, reviewing budgets, assisting in fundraising, participating in committee work, and serving as an important link between Connecticut Humanities and the public.
