Connecticut Humanities Announces over $200,000 in Grant Awards!

Congratulations to our most recent round of grant recipients! At our April board meeting, Connecticut Humanities awarded $203,649 in grant funding to 11 Connecticut organizations. Projects receiving funding were:

-Artspace (New Haven): Paying Homage: Soil & Site, $12,075
-Florence Griswold Museum (Old Lyme): Art and the New England Farm, $25,000
-Harriet Beecher Stowe Center (Hartford): Launching the New Stowe Center Experience, $20,000
-Hill-Stead Museum (Farmington): Sunken Garden Poetry Festival, $20,000
-Lockwood-Mathews Mansion Museum (Norwalk): Planning for Bulls of Wall Street, $20,000
-Mattatuck Museum: Audience Research, $9,999
-Mystic Seaport Museum (Stonington): The Vinland Map Exhibition, $22,955
-Naugatuck Historical Society: Town of Dreamers, City of Invention, $20,000
-New Haven International Festival of Arts & Ideas: The Ideas Program at the Festival, $25,000
-Norwalk Historical Society: Assessment of the Norwalk Potteries Collections, $3,620
-Wadsworth Atheneum Museum of art (Hartford): Monsters & Myths: Surrealism and War in the 1930s and 1940s, $25,000
