We officially welcomed CT Humanities’ new Executive Director, Dr. Jason Mancini, on Thursday, January 25th, at Capital Community College. Thank you to our hosts, Dr. Wilfredo Nieves, President of Capital Community College, and Dr. Jeffrey Partridge, Chair of the Humanities Department at Capital Community College.

Jason thoroughly enjoyed meeting all of you and telling you about his plans for CT Humanities. Thank you to those of you who attended. Not to worry if you were not able to attend, there will be plenty of other opportunities to meet Jason and the CTH staff. Mancini just completed his first month at CTH. He has already had fruitful and productive meetings with CTH board members, friends and partners.

Mancini was the Executive Director of the Mashantucket Pequot Museum and Research Center, and was with the museum in different capacities since 1995. Mancini has a Ph.D., as well as an M.A., in Anthropology from the University of Connecticut. He is passionate about the humanities, history, culture, and the arts. He is a lifelong Connecticut resident.
