CT Center for the Book

Join Connecticut author Ethan Rutherford to discuss his book “North Sun, Or The Voyage of the Whaleship Esther.” A finalist for the 2025 National Book Award and our state’s featured title for the 2026 National Book Festival, “North Sun” is a tale of adventure and endurance set in the waning days of the American whaling industry. Mr. Rutherford will speak about his inspiration and research, read from his book and take questions. For more information please call (860) 529-7656, or visit https://www.wethersfieldhistory.org/
