Last month, CTH Manager of Grants and Programs, Scott Wands and CTH Communications Director, Aimee Cotton Bogush, participated in the American Alliance of Museum’s Virtual 2021 Museums Advocacy Day on Capitol Hill. They were joined by nine other advocates from Connecticut’s history, art, and children’s museum community. Seen here is their meeting with Representative Jim Himes (CT-04). As the group made the rounds to all of the state’s Congressional delegation, they shared the importance of museums and museum programming to Connecticut’s communities and advocated for the needs of the nonprofit museum sector in our state.
We are grateful for the continued support of museums and the humanities from all of Connecticut’s Congressional delegation and for their understanding of the positive impact museums have on Connecticut.
