Connecticut Humanities wishes to extend its wholehearted thanks to the NewAlliance Foundation for supporting our collaborative work with the “READy for the Grade” Program.

The intention of this program is to keep families connected to their library during the school year, help parents and children learn new ways to share books, expand discussion skills and make reading and learning a part of everyday life. Storytelling special events, hands-on activities, and guest speakers further engage learners to spark creativity and promote critical thinking.
