Groton at Work: Mom and Pop Shops, a history of small businesses in a port city, is closing soon. Check it out before it closes down.
Where: Groton Public Library
When: Through December 21, 2014
What: This exhibit reflects the history of small business in Groton, CT. Using images from his personal collection of historic photographs, Town Historian James L. Streeter gives us a glimpse of Thames Street and its once lively commercial center. Trollies, ferries, taverns and shops were once familiar Thames Street sites. The changes in Thames Street over time reflect the social and economic history of Groton.
A program of the Connecticut at Work Initiative.
