Congratulations to Dr. Jason Mancini, Executive Director, Connecticut Humanities, for being the 2020 recipient of the Connecticut Council for the Social Studies (CCSS) Bruce Fraser Friend of Social Studies Award. The CCSS is organized and maintained to advocate and advance the study and teaching of the social studies in the schools, colleges, and other educational institutions of the state of Connecticut. This award recognizes a non-teaching professional who is dedicated to the promotion of social studies education.

According to Elyse Poller, CCSS President, 2019-2020, ” Jason’s dedication, vision and efforts honor and build on Bruce’s stellar legacy. Jason’s leadership serves to enhance social studies education, activities, and resources throughout the state.”
