Remembering the Unremembered: Slavery and Resistance in Fairfield

To celebrate Juneteenth, join us at Fairfield Public Library for this unique look at slavery and resistance in the North.  Walt Matis and Alec Lurie of the Fairfield Museum & History Center will share the rich histories of the enslaved and free people Black families in our community. Fairfield First Selectman Bill Gerber will begin the lecture with a proclamation and Steve Bogan of Sustainable Fairfield will introduce the speakers.  A Q&A period will follow.
