Through family letters, artifacts, handwritten notes, dusty newspaper accounts, tax records, wills, and deeds, Kathy Olsen, with a small team of Mansion researchers, was able to piece together the fascinating history of the holdings of two renowned Gilded Age families. Chairman of the Board Douglas Hemsptead said, “This revealing talk, which span generations, will uncover family assets, surprising beneficiaries, and secret scandals. Ms. Olsen, who has an outstanding financial background and is also a docent at LMMM promises an exciting talk with never-before-seen images from our archives.”
Ms. Olsen has over 25 years of experience in accounting and finance. From 1999 through 2011, she served as Chief Financial Officer of Eminence Capital, LP, a long/short global equity fund and from 1993 to 1999 as audit manager, specializing in investment partnerships at Anchin, Block & Anchin LLP, a public accounting firm located in New York City. Kathy received a Bachelor of Science degree with honors from the State University of New York at Albany and is presently an adjunct professor at Fordham University.
