The Madison Historical Society will hire a museum consultant to design, implement, and brand the newly renovated exhibit hall of Lee’s Academy. This town landmark will be home to the Madison Center for History and Culture–a dynamic learning center where we will tell Madison’s story using our collection of artifacts. The consultant will help design the space to create a multipurpose research center accessible to people of all abilities and reflect the changing dynamics of a small museum.

The Madison Historical Society (MHS) with Ciné Verité Productions is documenting the effects of the pandemic on Madison. The short documentary film features key members of the community including business owners, frontline workers, school administrators, elected officials, civic and religious leaders, and students impacted by this crisis. We will screen the documentary broadly for others to discover how one shoreline town responded to the pandemic and the community’s hope for a better future.
