Travel through history with stories for young readers! Each month on Wednesdays from 3:30-5 p.m., the Litchfield Historical Society invites young historians ages 7 to 10 years old to participate in discussions and fun activities inspired by the book of the month. Pre-payment and registration includes a copy of the book. Each session is $7 for members and $10 for non-members.
Wednesday, June 14, 2017 from 3:30-5 p.m.: To celebrate the second season of our exhibit on sports in Litchfield, we will be reading Jackie Robinson and the Story of All Black Baseball by Jim O’Connor for our June book club. Explore the story of baseball-from Jackie Robinson, the first African American to play in Major League Baseball, to Litchfield’s own Cowboys.
