“The Sexy Six: A Story of Lifelong Friendship” chronicles the story of six South Norwalk natives — Helen, Ida, Jeanne, Marcia, Matty and Phyllis — the daughters of factory workers, who grew up in the Whistleville section of town, graduated from Norwalk High (Class of 1951) and followed a common trajectory — career girls, wives, motherhood — while maintaining their friendship and presence in the greater Norwalk community.

The documentary is a must-see for Norwalkers – natives and transplants alike. It celebrates a community where friendships last lifetimes and landmarks like the South Norwalk train trestle, the old Hat Corporation and Shady Beach become part of your DNA. Whether you have spent your whole life in the onetime “oyster capital of the world”, left for so-called greener pastures, or came to Norwalk after living someplace else, “The Sexy Six” will reinforce your belief that Norwalk, Connecticut is a great little city on Long Island Sound. You will be proud to share this film with your friends.
