Inheriting Freedom: An Intergenerational Tour

July 20 @ 2:30 pm - 3:30 pm

Harriet Beecher Stowe Center, 77 Forest Street
Hartford, CT 06105 United States

Our intergenerational tour encourages conversations about justice between visitors of all ages. We provide an interactive, conversation-based tour experience where we welcome questions and curiosity from adults and children alike. The tour explores the life of Harriet Beecher Stowe and the larger history of anti-slavery activism in the United States, with a major focus on love and family as central to freedom struggles in both the past and present.

An intergenerational tour about 19th century abolitionist Frederick Douglass. We explore themes of family, freedom, education, and the power of love and hope to build a more just world.
