History Bites: Connecticut Women and the Battle for the Ballot

Join Dr. Kelly Marino, Coordinator of Women’s Studies at Sacred Heart University, for a historical sketch on the 20th century suffrage campaign in Connecticut. Learn about key leaders from and moments in the Fairfield region and the statewide activism, emphasizing the important role that Connecticut played in the passage of the Nineteenth Amendment.

Dr. Kelly Marino is Assistant Lecturer of History and Coordinator of Women’s Studies at Sacred Heart University. She is a historian of 20th century America with a focus on women’s history.

History Bites Lunchtime Chats are monthly on a Wednesday, 12:30pm – 1:30pm. Members: Free; Non-Members: $5 suggested donation. Please bring a bagged lunch. Beverages and dessert will be provided.
