GALLERY TALK: Raccoons, Opossum, and Cake, Oh My!

August 3 @ 11:00 am - 12:00 pm

Free
Florence Griswold Museum, 96 Lyme Street
Old Lyme, CT 06371 United States

Join Jenny Parsons, Ph.D, Associate Curator, to discuss Dana Sherwood’s film set and hear about how this contemporary artist continues the legacy of the Lyme Art Colony through the intersecting themes of animals, food, and women’s history. Next, stroll to Sherwood’s outdoor Conservatory sculpture, and on to the Griswold House dining room, where you will learn about the artist’s second commission–an installation that includes live snails feasting on topiary cakes!
