Explore the stories behind Connecticut’s nicknames and symbols! Families will look closely at objects made using wood from the Charter Oak in a special, pop-up display available for a limited time only! Then, they will grate nutmeg, write with a quill pen, make a praying mantis using a clothespin, and create a miniature version of the iconic Charter Oak tree!

This program is included with museum admission and is great for children of all ages. You do not need to pre-register for this program.
