CT Authors Trail 2017 Visit with Stephen Spignesi!

August 15 @ 7:00 pm - 8:00 pm

This summer, the Connecticut Authors Trail takes place from July 6th through September 14th. The author who will visit our Andover Public Library this year is Stephen Spignesi, a retired professor of English at the University of New Haven who has published more than 50 books on pop culture and American History topics. During Mr. Spignesi’s visit to Andover PL, he will talk to us about a book he published in the Fall of 2016: 499 FACTS ABOUT HIP-HOP HAMILTON AND THE REST OF AMERICA’S FOUNDING FATHERS.

From the back of the book jacket:

America has fallen in love again with Alexander Hamilton and the Founding Fathers. 499 FACTS ABOUT HIP-HOP HAMILTON AND THE REST OF AMERICA’S FOUNDING FATHERS is a popping fresh collection of important facts and forgotten trivia surrounding the American Revolution and our forefathers—from those you’d expect (George Washington, Thomas Jefferson, Ben Franklin, and Hamilton, of course) to those you may never have heard of, but probably should have (who the heck was Rufus King?) Readers are left with a greater appreciation and deeper respect for these ordinary human beings who were just trying to accomplish the incredible: create the greatest nation in history

We look forward to Mr. Spignesi’s visit and presentation later on in 2017 — and hope you do, too! Mark your calendars now, and save the date, and watch this space for more info as the date grows closer.
