Join storyteller Andre Keitt as he shares the book “Dreamers” by Yuyi Morales (based on a true story). This is the story of a young immigrant mother and child’s journey to a new country where everything is foreign and unfamiliar. Unable to speak the language, Yuyi begins to wonder if she will ever find a purpose or place in this new land. With the help of her family, Yuyi is introduced the the Public Library. Although unable to read the books, she understands their message through the beauty and power of the illustrations. Daily visits to the library help her and her child build towards a better future.
