On Wednesday, October 11th, Connecticut Humanities and Hartford Legacy Foundation will sponsor an event with New York Times best-selling author Angie Thomas for a program called “The Hate U Give” in conjunction with the release of Thomas’s new book, The Hate U Give. The magazine The Atlantic said: “Thomas’s debut novel offers an incisive and engrossing perspective of the life of a black teenage girl as Starr’s two worlds converge over questions of police brutality, justice, and activism.”
Angie gave a riveting talk recently at the National Book Fair in Washington DC. Click here to see a YouTube video of Angie sharing her love of libraries.
