Growing Local Roots

When was the last time you shopped at a farmer’s market? When was the last time you sat back and considered where your food came from? Local farms and farmers provide food for our communities and contribute to the state’s economy. They can bring us all closer to the land, whether we have a green thumb or rely on theirs!

By means of enlightened conversations that explore the work being done on local farms, Connecticut at Work is bringing you closer to the men and women who provide us with farm-fresh produce, local meats, and native honey. How close are you to your local farmers? Now is your chance to pick their brains and find out more about the evolution of farming in Connecticut and how their work affects you and your community.

Growing Local Roots, connecting you with farmers in your region, will take place around the state during Connecticut at Work. Keep up to date on Connecticut at Work by following CTH on Facebook and Twitter, and subscribing to our e-letter.
